    You’re just a tenant, I’m the landlord’s sister!

This happened a two months ago when I moved into a new apartment. It's a small complex with just four units, and I honestly loved how

quiet it was until the landlord's sister decided to show up. At first, I didn't know who she was. She just started showing

up randomly, watering the plants in the shared courtyard, walking into the laundry room without knocking, and giving unsolicited advice on how I should properly park my car.

One day I'm cooking in my kitchen and I hear the screen door open. I come out and find this woman in my backyard (shared space, but

decorate this place. These don't look good here." I told her I rented that unit and I will prefer if she didn't move my stuff without asking.

BubbleLure So because she is a sister to the landlord she feels she can now boss the tenants around?
  • 15
AngelLoom OP Her audacity is so weird.
  • 16
Defiant-Network-540 She wanted the place for her son, so keep showing up in hope you would leave the place
  • 17
AngelLoom OP Exactly but i dint give in for that not for an apartment i rented with my own money.

ChipsTheKiwi Most people have nightmare landlord stories but it's not often you see a nightmare sibling of a good landlord

OfluffytheOferocious I'm guessing this woman didn't understand that trying to kick out a tenant without cause is grounds for a lawsuit? She really could have gotten her brother in a lot of trouble.

AngelLoom OP I told her the last time that if she tries to boss me again i will call the cops on her.

Old_Low1408 I'm not sure if I would rent to my nephew. Of my six nephews, maybe one would make the cut. Mixing family and business can be problematic.
